Happy Columbus Day 2025

Every year on Second Monday in October, and this year on Monday October 13, 2025, we celebrate Columbus Day, to remember Christopher Columbus' arrival to the Americas on October 12, 1492.

Columbus Day was first held in San Francisco in 1869, while Colorado was the first state celebrate Columbus Day in 1907. Columbus Day become a holiday in United States in 1937, and since 1971 every year celebrate on the second Monday in October.

Isn't Christopher Columbus who thought he might have been sailing around the world to India before running into the American Continent, in between, ultimately responsible for calling the native inhabitants, "Indians"?
