Real Estate Survival Skills

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

Let's Face it the real estate market right now is absolutley CRAZY. THis real estate market is KILLING people. Do you know how to survive. I am not even talking about being profitable. DO YOU know how to create a duplicatable business in this market.

If you cant walk there is no way you are going to run. LET ME CLUE YOU IN A SOMETHING. Even those Agents that sold real estate in the 80-90"S have no idea. I dont care if your GURU did sell a hundred homes in their first year, that is irrelevant in this market. What is relevant is simply skills in this market.

If you are a realtor and you want to survive in this market you must be a master of the following

Working with Buyers

Short Sales, understanding as a buyer and sellers agent.

REOs getting the listings and once you do getting them sold.

Prospecting - You must understand and be able to convert leads and prospect for new business, whether it be FSBO's Expires and your Center of Influence.

If you want to know more stay tuned or email me.

Dan, you are so right.  I have been in real estate since 1979.  The other day I called a
colleague who used to have a huge team and found out that it is now only he and his
assistant.  He let his team GO and he is now his own buyer's agent, listing agent and
has to do it all.  This market is different so we have to make changes.  When the
going gets tough - the tough get going!  I would love to hear your ideas on how you
create new business with your sphere of influence.

Dan,

My mom's been in the business for over 30 years, and she too seems to think this is different from any other cycle though there are many similarities.

Good points. Especially prospecting, we are in the Lead Generation business. I still believe you need to list to last as well.
