AI seems to be on everyone’s lips these days, shaping conversations, decisions, and even how we define intelligence. But as technology grows smarter, I can’t help but wonder: are we forgetting to talk about authentic humanity? Are we letting it slip quietly into the background, overshadowed by algorithms and artificial insight?
It’s almost funny to think that we no longer need to compete to be “the smartest in the room.” AI has that covered. Instead, this new era offers us a gift, the freedom to focus on what only humans can do best: to love more deeply, listen more intentionally, and truly see one another.
When I came across this quote by Desmond Tutu, it felt like a light bulb moment:
“My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.”
It reminded me that no matter how advanced technology becomes, it can never replace the warmth of connection, the power of empathy, or the shared experience that binds us all.
As AI evolves, maybe our greatest opportunity isn’t to keep up with machines, but to remember what it means to simply be human, together.
