My exaggerated answer to Titus is: "just stand still, everything will fly by you in the frenzy of the other shoppers". 🙄

The Ugly Box Store of Minot has never advertised, it doesn't need to, word of mouth keeps this store busier everyday than Target is on Christmas Eve.

What is The Uglee Box Store? First let me clarify the picture above only represents about 5% of the stores square footage. What you do see is only a small portion of the bins in the store. Why is it a madhouse (although the picture above is at a relatively calm time. Check out these prices...

No matter which day you go it's crazy. I go on Wednesday when everything is a dollar and I go on Friday when all the new stuff gets put out. What can you get for a dollar? This last Wednesday I got a new pair of shoes, a box with four decorative citronella candles in it, a box with two nice birdhouses in it, and a battery for my weed wacker.

All items are brand new. All items come from Amazon returns. I have purchased items worth $100.00 or more for a buck (in fact last Wednesday they were selling everything for 50 cents). These are NOT damaged items.

One area I have not shopped is the clothing but this area is always full of beautiful women going crazy over the selection.

The Uglee Box Store also has major appliances and other items that are NOT in the bins. If Amazon sells it the chances of it showing up in The Uglee Box Store is very good. I admit... I am now an addict!

A treasure hunt is a good analogy Michael Jacobs . Everything in those bins are worth more than what the store sells them for it's just people have to ask themselves "Do I really need this".

Bob "RealMan" Timm the closest one in the Carolinas is in Union, South Carolina... a good hour and a half away if no traffic. I don't even know where Union, SC is in relation to Charlotte.

Thank you Lew Corcoran . Keep in mind that the stores do not advertise. I had no idea this store existed just 3 blocks from my office until another bargin shopper told me about it... and it had been there a whole year before I knew about it. There may even be one in East Bridgewater MA.

Wayne Martin I believe the chain/franchise can be anywhere but most likely they are found near distribution centers so as not to add large freight charges to the sale of the items. It really is amazing what you can find for $7.00 or less.
