Let’s be honest… it’s time to retire that old superstition! Because of those myths, black cats spend way more time in shelters — and heartbreakingly, they’re often the last to be adopted (and sometimes the first to be euthanized). 😿

This Halloween season, when black cats get labeled as “spooky,” let’s flip the script. Black cats are sleek, mysterious, loving, and honestly — just plain magical.

Fun fact: Whether you think black cats are “good luck” or “bad luck” totally depends on where you live! In the U.S. and parts of Europe, people say black cats are bad luck. But in Britain and Japan? Seeing a black cat is good luck!
