What is regret? Interesting as the definitions fit the different scenarios as there is no general regret but instead specific. A missed opportunity? That would mean a failure to act promptly or at all. A poor choice? That remains normal for the life journey. Disappointment? For whom? You or the other person? What is more important or valuable now or yesterday?
WORTHY NOTE: Regret drives you to places that are not worthy to visit except to learn from. Sitting with a drink, reminiscing, gives regret life. I say: U had your turn

I think I will stop thinking
WHY REGRET?
It has been said that all we need to know is safely hidden within ourselves & the life journey via seeking, exploring & risking brings it all to the surface. We also have a skills bank, abilities & talents that when needed spring into life when summoned yours being custom to your circumstances. All primed & ready for usage
THE APPROACH
Regret can be minimized by using & following this approach. If you have something to say, say it! If you have something to do, do it! Hesitation, doubt, confusion, analyzing/thinking plus having a double standard interferes with the deed of doing or not or saying or not. Life is simple not complex except we make it so. Watch your own will too. Your power when mis-applied can backfire
DISCOVERY OF REGRET DYNAMIC
Our failure to act from whatever reason introduces us to regret via hindsight. Regret has a learning curve aspect to it. Once more, we either over-do or under-do regret as we learn about it. Some of the missed opportunities can be physical, mental, emotionally painful while some of the "seize the day" scenarios can be gainful or cause loss. Either way, the regret dynamic needs a look-see & no more
ANY REGRETS IN LIFE?
This is not a fair question in a way. We either chose or didn't choose making us accountable as regret players or non-players. If we had it to do over is not realistic either. A first-time choice is a choice that must made & never having been here before just involves best efforts to do so but not regret. In the end, we all made decisions & that is our reality. Results (or lack of) do not lie. Participate always
MILD REGRET
Ever lose your temper or ordered incorrectly while dining & after assessing the situation saw how it could have been handled differently. That's the learning curve aided by conscience & common sense. Time also adds pressure to the regret's equation. Do we or don't we act now or not? Too much thinking can sabotage a life experience. Risk, adventure & mystery are well named & lead to growth plus!
GIVE WHAT YOU GOT
When it comes down to action, giving all that you have makes difference. Regret on holding back will haunt you here as well. If you do all you can well all that you can do is done. You're free from regret & your personal stock as a person is maintained or gains value. Conscience is quiet. Act with freedom not guilt or fear.
REPENTANCE
This is worth mentioning for this subject. When we don't repeat what doesn't work, we have repented (changed) & are then on our way to what will work by knowing what doesn't work. Repeating what doesn't work is called insanity. It is better to do nothing (correctly) than go insane LOL
WORTHY NOTE: Universal Law: If you do nothing right, you will do nothing wrong
TEMPTATION
Stating: Everyone is doing it; we must act now, running out of time, all to me is a turn-off but still worth keeping an eye on. I am reminded about how there are never-ending opportunities during a person's lifetime so let's let our portions allotted so they come in our good timing. That takes objectivity, patience & faith. All doable. Giving in NO! Giving it go YES!
WORTHY NOTE: Sinking in your thinking or drowning in your dreams creates a mental-emotional whirlpool that sucks your life & moment right out of you
THE HUMAN NATURE IS SUBJECT TO MUCH
Never having been here before (life), exploring, inquiry, & the testing of our curiosities/ beliefs is required if we are to grow inwardly as well as outwardly. Welcome failure as a lesson not a punishment & continue to grow & prosper until you decide not to. It's all waiting for you patiently I might add
