I Think It's A Little Creepy

Philemon isn't alone. In real life chances are that someone is watching you at all times. Between security cameras and our electronics that spy on us it's pretty hard to stay out of sight.

I remember the early years of home security where cameras were the exception, today they are as common as toasters. Back then we had to disclose on the listing agreement that there were cameras in use on the premises. Honestly, I have no idea what the policy is today being I've been retired for several years.

I am a big proponent of in home surveillance cameras. I want to know if someone is looking in my drawers or anywhere they have no business looking. The one exception would be no one should have a camera in the bathroom. Lock up your medications and you have nothing to worry about. Put a camera in your bathroom and I'm all for putting you in jail.

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Timmothy has never repeated a joke/comic strip in the 12 years he has been writing it. He has never copied another strip, such as Peanuts or Garfield. You can follow Timmothy on FB as Titus & Philemon and you can also check him out on Instagram as Instagram.com/titus and philemon/ .For Timmothy's website type timmtimmothy.com into your browser. I tried to put it in a link here but it refuses to work. Do NOT put anything in front of timmtimmothy.com or it will not work.

Bob "RealMan" Timm I have procrastinated on installing cameras in my house, but I am thinking about doing it.

I think it is a good idea to cover your front and back doors George Souto in case of a break-in. Otherwise I think anything else is over kill.

Good morning, Bob... I have cameras on the outside of my house, but not on the inside. That is just too creepy for me. As for disclosing cameras, we don't necessarily need to do that, but if people are being recorded, we do have a requirement to let prospective buyers know that in advance.

That sounds like a fair policy Nina Hollander, Broker . As far as cameras inside the house I just cover the front and back door. If someone breaks in someone is going to be shot. If it's me I want the police to know who shot me and if I shot the intruder I want proof that he/she broke in.

Hello Bob - I don't think I am alarmed as surveillance of many sorts become a part of life lurking.   Being and staying aware seems like full-time work.

That is right Michael Jacobs , our safety (the safety of the family) is full-time work.

If I know someone has cameras inside their home, I'm not going. That's just too much for me. Unless it's a nanny cam specifically to make sure the baby is okay.

Outside is fine, inside, nope.

I have a friend who has cameras all over the inside of the house Bob "RealMan" Timm - yikes (not the bathroom, but mostly every other room)

Kat Palmiotti I have one facing the front door (inside) so I have a record of who enters the house. If I have an intruder I want to be able to show the police who it is/was.

George Orwell was so right with his book, he just missed the date by a few years.

George Orwell was a visionary Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 . It seems to me that a lot of SiFi has come true over the years. I hope they get the Star Trek transporter beam perfected soon.

Hi Bob- I have cameras on the exterior as well as one in my garage.  I also have a Ring doorbell. I do admit to having one camera placed in the home that can detect if someone enters my back or front door.

We think alike Kathy Streib as that is the same placement I use as well.

We do have a security system Bob and have since we moved in here ages ago. There is one camera inside for a specific reason...... big wall of windows facing the back and we just making sure nobody gets any ideas. We've live in a nice area and haven't had any instances nor have our neighbors. So maybe it's all over kill. I do like the ring doorbell!

Yuck to eyeballs in my bowl!  Too funny Timmothy!
