Anxiety Over Nothing

It seems that we are living in a world of High Anxiety.

The Mel Brooks movie above is 48 years old but still a laugh riot today. I think it's time for a remake that includes cell phones and all the other electronics we deal with today.

Philemon's anxiety, in the cartoon above, my be something that young children deal with today who are going on their first Trick or Treat trip around the block.

We, as Realtors, should not be surprised that first time home Buyers/Sellers experience High Anxiety. Seasoned agents know what to expect and how to best handle it. New agents and part time agents may add to the anxiety and make it even worse. 😜

Keeping it simple, this is just another reason that if you are a first time Buyer or Seller you would be wise to work with an experienced agent.

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Real estate professionals sometimes need to be calming agents as well. The home buying and home selling experience can be very stressful.

I love Mel Brooks and can't wait for the sequel to Space Balls which is being filmed now. The fact that he is nearly 100 years old and still wants to make another movie is just amazing. A friend met Mel and Carl Reiner at a funeral shortly before Carl passed- and even during a solemn event like a funeral- these 2 knew how to make people smile.
