Zoom Homework - La Di Da, La Di Da

We’ve come a long way, baby!

When Paddy Deighan MBA JD PhD introduced us to AI and its use in creating graphics, I had no idea what fun rabbit hole I was going to fall into!!

This week, we were asked to create something” in the style of.”   This was in reference to a query that Carol Williams had when trying to create graphics for her “President” series.

One of my favorite artists passed away recently, and her name was the first to pop into my mind.  I’ve seen Father of the Bride (1 & 2) at least 2 dozen times; Annie Hall half a dozen, Something’s Gotta Give (a dozen++), Book Club, Crimes of the Heart, the Godfather series…and I could go on and on.

What app did I use?

I used Meta.ai.

Why? I began using it and a few others when I began this journey and it works for me.

I like that it gives you options for aspect size…1:1, 9:16, or 16:9 and you are given 4 choices of pictures.

And, it allows you to animate it as well.

The prompt I used:

Create an image in the style of Diane Keaton in Annie Hall. The lady is tall and slender, with long light brown straight hair. She is wearing tan slacks, a white shirt with a tie, and there is a black vest over it. Her left hand is on her left hip. She is wearing a black brimmed hat with the front brim turned up.

Here are the 4 images it created:

Now…just for fun, I took the image, uploaded it to Grok, and tried to get “Diane” to say “La di Da, La di da”

Not exactly what I wanted and yet…

I hope you’ll join us next Tuesday at 1 PM CST for our next Zoom Call. We learn from each other and always…there are a few laughs.

Good morning Kathy. Your post shows how valuable the Tuesday Zoom meetings can be when members share their expertise. I owe you a phone call and will do it soon. Enjoy your day.

Good morning, Kathy... nice job! I use AI to create images for my posts, but I refuse to fall down any rabbit holes in this regard.

Nina Hollander, Broker I understand!  I enjoy it but I have times when I have to make myself stop.

Hi Kathy,
That rabbit hole goes deep and, like you, I've gone down it numerous times. I haven't experimented with the "in the style of" prompt yet, but I probably will today.  Thanks for the mention.

Hi Carol Williams It's fun and can also get frustrating. I tried one for Robert Redford but it looked more like Brad Pitt.

Good morning! I just tried plugging in the same exact wording into the Bing tool that I like to use and it said :

I actually think that's good - I assume it won't let you use an existing person as the basis for an AI image.

So if I took out the first sentence, and then just put the rest in, I got this...

So I think the bottom line is as long as our descriptor is good we might not need to mention a real person!

Kat Palmiotti Good experiment. I took a pic of my cousin's husband and his baby, put it into Grok and had them animate it. It was strangely eerie that it could do that.

That's a neat use of AI and Paddy Deighan MBA JD PhD certainly knows what is going on in that field.  I look forward to seeing the homework from others as well.

Good morning Kathy,

Loved what you came up with! It was such a great Zoom meeting and you are right we do learn from each other and along the way have some laughs. I was a big fan of Diane Keaton and watched so many of her movies too!

Sorry I missed the meeting. I have it on my calendar and I get a friendly reminder the day before but I still forgot until 15 minutes before it ended. I tried frantically to get in but Zoom for the Office just wouldn't let me in Kathy Streib .

I really hope so Kathy Streib . I am going to delete the program and then re-install it to see if that helps get the bugs out.

You can still give this assignment a twirl Bob "RealMan" Timm I suggest:  in the style of Timmothy Timm creative artist with a gallery located in Minto ND... dot dot you continue the story and adding to the prompt and feed it into several platforms.  If your son's name does work give another artist a twirl😎

That is very interesting, you discover more options using different methods and engines than I do, again I need to be more curious, and not settle right away.

Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 I try new AI models and stay with what works for me. If you go on Grok, try uploading a picture of you and Annie and turn it into a video.

Interesting. I was listening to an AI version of what the NEXT Beatles Album would have likely sounded like had they stayed together. Interesting, but it still seems to need some more refining.

I have had very good luck with creating photos on chatgpt from the start. I can think of only one that was a bit goofy until I changed the prompt wording  It's all in how you ask.  I found the meeting very interesting and when I get a chance I look forward to going further down the rabbit hole!

Oct 29, 2025 10:28 AM

Hi Anna "Banana" Kruchten I haven't done much with Chat GPT for graphics or images...yet!!!  I just started using it to help when I'm having trouble structuring a sentence.

Anna "Banana" Kruchten instead of a rabbit hole, I suggest setting your alarm for 30 min and stop at that point.

Kathy you are like my wife watching some of her favorite movies.  I have lost track of how many times she has watched Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman.

George Souto I love those two movies too. Tell your wife that I met Patrick Swayze briefly when I was taking some dance lessons from his mother. We called him Buddy.

My holiday baking tradition is to watch Father of the Bride or The Santa Clause.

Hello Kathy Streib - I have a long, long, long, long way to go with AI - yet I have not found the "fun" in the graphics part, which means I likely won't get there (LOL).

I know you enjoy it - spend time learning it ... and it shows.  Well done.
