Retirement is great

I've been quiet on Activerain for a long time and that will continue. That's because my real estate investments have positioned me to stop working and enjoy retirement. As I look back on ~50 years of working, I realize that it was not income from working that funded my retirement. It was income from working that allowed me to qualify for mortgages to purchase my investment properties. It is those investment properties that funded my retirement. As I've often said...Real estate is the key to wealth building.

I will admit that I enjoyed my work life and would likely still be working had I not had a medical issue that made it impractical to continue to suit up and show up for work. While that medical issue may have curtailed my work life and slowed me down a bit, I'm still enjoying my favorite word...ADVENTURE!

I've been retired for 14 years and, like you, enjoyed my work. I must say, though, retirement is the best gig ever!
