Back in the Saddle Again, Yippee!

By
Real Estate Agent with Dirt Road Real Estate SA676002000

Sometimes life happens.  When those daily, monthly or even yearly challenges subside, we are once again able to resume our schedules, our routines, living our lives.

For me, that means my hiatus from Active Rain is for the most part over and I can resume writing and submitting my blogs to this dynamic forum. Also I am able to travel to take photos of all the vacant land, dirt as I love selling dirt. In the last few days, I have taken over 100 plus photos of dirt here in Mohave County, AZ.

Of course, sometimes when we get back in the saddle, we may have lingering fears of another unforeseen life happens challenge.  This fear is often “False Evidence Appearing Real.”

I am reminded of these words by John Wayne:

"Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway.”

Life is a series of continuing changes often with challenges intertwined. We hopefully learn from these changes as Ralph Waldo Emerson shared his wisdom:

“Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.”

Buddha understood human nature when it came to the fears embedded in our past challenges:

“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”

Keeping ourselves motivated when we face personal challenges is sometimes not easy.

Confucius recognized how challenges can stop us in our tracks:

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”

These two other quotes also remind us about moving forward in times of struggles, challenges, just living our lives.

“With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.”

Eleanor Roosevelt

"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”

Charles R. Swindoll

So saddle up, kick up some dust and enjoy the ride!

P.S. Please consider checking out my Facebook business page, The Grit and Gratitude REALTOR® , that will focus on the Dirt Roads in Mohave County, AZ as well local real estate, lots of dirt or vacant land parcels as some of the local attractions.

Good morning again, Leanne... glad to hear you're back in the saddle. Having, myself, been partially out of the saddle for over a year after two hip replacements, I know what a great feeling it is to be back to normal.

Yes indeed a great feeling. Thanks for sharing your experience. Good morning.

Hello Leanne - words of wisdom can come from a variety of sources.  Different times, situations and circumstances continue to provide "food for thought".

Your blog post title caught my attention!  I just got back in the saddle again but literally back in the saddle, on my old show horse Jigsaw ( old pic of us at a show )

who I hadn't ridden for more than three years due to two knee replacements.  I was so happy I bawled!  Welcome back.  I look forward to your posts and your "dirt" pics.  I liked your FB page!

Congratulations on literally being back in the saddle. I had horses years ago, but currently life does not allow me enough time that horses require. Riding a horse is indeed a special time that allows us to reconnect to nature and returns that internal peace to ourselves. Glad you enjoyed the FB page which I must update as I am back in the saddle.

Horses are an addiction!  I sucessfully bred horses for over 30 years and have been a horse property specialist for just as long in AZ, CO, and here in TX.

Welcome back to the saddle! 🐎 Your post is a wonderful reminder that life doesn’t always go in a straight line — but it’s the pauses and the perseverance that make the journey meaningful. I love the way you wove in those quotes — especially John Wayne’s. “Saddling up anyway” feels like the perfect metaphor for getting back out there, whether it’s writing, selling dirt, or simply living fully again. Mohave County dirt never sounded so inspiring! Here’s to new trails, new strength, and a little dust on the boots. 🌵

How about a lot of dust on the boots or the 4x4 Ford Truck? Truly appreciate your comment and glad I possibly inspire some about the dirt here in Mohave County. As we age we realize that road of life has even more unexpected twists and turns.  Good morning and again thank you.

Welcome back, glad to see you are felling better and getting back to your usual schedule. Yes, after a set back there is the challenge to overcome the doubts and fears. But, no great adventure ever lacked a little bit of fear and doubt at some stage. Think of all those great explorers who sailed off to discover unknown lands.

Yes I do think about the explorers especially out here and what they overcame to get to the west, all of the unknowns from hostiles, creatures and topography.  Thank you and good morning to you Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543

Good morning Leanne. Nice to hear you say "back in the saddle again". That said I wish the memory of Gene Autry singing that song leave me. Enjoy your day.

Yes that happens with songs we have not heard in quite a while. When the title came to me, the song magically appeared of course being sung by Gene Autry. Good morning right back at you.
