Before I share about the 'idiots' I wanted to share this sweet photo of our little guy Barney that is in doggy heaven now. He's counting angels up there! And we miss his sweet demeanor and love of going for walks! Every time we'd say walk he'd RUSH to the door! I wish we could get Norman excited about walks! He lags behind in the family room and has to be coaxed! But he sure likes his treats when he gets back! Go figure.
Ok I can imagine that many of you could play this new game - Count the Idiot Drivers! The other day that while we were out running a few errands we saw at least 8 idiot drivers taking big chances, running red lights, rolling stops, weaving in and out of traffic (as if they're going to get anywhere faster than us law abiding folks) and other idiot moves. That's when we said - let's count the idiot drivers from now on. And today again, we saw 5 or 6 idiots and that was not on major streets. It's nuts.
What is happening? This has been going on for it seems 5 years or so. Did people get so stressed and anxious during covid days that they started driving like idiots. Is it drugs that's causing this big shift in idiot drivers? Rarely do I see the police stopping these idiots. I used to see quite a few motorcycle cops stopping these idiots on the city streets. I haven't seen one in months and months.
Whatever is going on it needs to shift! There are far too many accidents every single day here in Phoenix area and people are dying or being seriously hurt. An idiot ran into us before Christmas last year and totaled my car. Why? She was on the phone having a fight with her sister and not paying attention. It could have been a whole lot worse for us if Gary hadn't slammed on the brakes. We were blessed that day!
This my friends is my very first rant post since I started blogging in 2006! So that means it's pretty darn serious if I get cranked up about idiot drivers.
