"On November 5, 1935, the world of board games changed forever when Monopoly was officially launched by Parker Brothers. From modest roots to cultural phenomenon, Monopoly’s debut marked more than just a game release: it tapped into the spirit of its era, gave people a playful way to dream of property-ownership during difficult economic times, and went on to become a timeless fixture in households worldwide."

Playing Monopoly was a family activity that everyone could play, make a lot of money, buy property, and even go to jail! The image photo I created with the teenagers in the 1950's was done with Microsoft co-pilot. It was fun and easy to create! The image above is what a family gathering would have looked like in the 1930s. Notice the wallpaper patterns matched women's dresses. Playing Monopoly was a big incentive to buy a real home of your own. Monopoly didn't need a real estate agent at that time to get people excited about buying property.

In the image above I asked for a kid's birthday party from the 1970s with a dog at the table overlooking the game of Monopoly with other kids who just watched and waited for their turn. Notice - there is even wood paneling in the image! Wasn't it fun when one of your friends got sent to jail and they couldn't pass go to collect their $200.00?

Now imagine the Real Estate Agent bringing over a Monopoly Board Game to celebrate the new homeowner's home with Champaign and a cake too! Even the family pets would be engaged and have fun. It would be a day to remember!!! No matter what's going on in world news, not only do you think outside of the box, but you also buy a box of the board game Monopoly to cut lose and have fun with your new homeowners!
