JOURNALING FOR 11/11/2025
Here is my heartfelt tribute to American Veterans. Only the images were created using Microsoft Co-Pilot. I wanted my images to capture the solemn beauty of gratitude and unity, with people from all walks of life standing before the flag, hands over their hearts, some with tears in their eyes. All the words come from my heart.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America
And to the Republic for which it Stands,
One nation, under God, one indivisible
with liberty and justice for all."

Out of all the family members and people I've known who were or are still Veterans, I never saw a single one cry. I cry when I see a sad movie or if my car gets stuck on the road. I can't imagine being in a war fighting so hard for something you believe in without shedding a tear. After all I've been through, a soldier endures more through their sacrifices, hard work, and discipline. You cannot have a war without consequences.

Thank you, dear Veterans for your courage and bravery. Through all kinds of weather, whether hot, cold, blistering hot, or freezing cold you marched on doing your job to keep America free. You were wounded, physically or emotionally, but you never complained or blamed others. When you came home and were among people, you heard them talk, but you remained silent and listened. Listening to anyone other than a Drill Sargent must have been worth standing for and listening.
This is a photo I took when I greeted soldiers at DFW Airport.
The battlefields where soldiers were wounded, the trenches you had to crawl in, the dear john/jane letters that broke your heart, and that stuff they called food are distant memories. Let freedom never end. May your heart be strong, your bodies healthy, and may there never be a time when you are not appreciated or loved. From my heart to yours, thank you.
