How I Hired a $1/Hour Real Estate Assistant:
There I was, sitting outside a small café in South America,

Excellent coffee.
Light traffic.
Then she appeared—balancing a tray and a smile that could
sell sunshine.
“Excuse me... your cappuccino,” she said, setting it gently on
the table.
“Thank you,” I replied.
She lingered for a second, curious.
“Excuse me, where are you from?”
I looked up from my screen.
She was young, warm, confident—the kind of person who

“My name’s Amanda,” she added.
I smiled and closed the iPad.
“I live in the United States,” I told her.
“Just here relaxing for a few days.”

“Can you give me a job?”
I chuckled.
“A job? What kind of work do you do?”
She straightened up, completely serious now.
“I can do basically anything.
I charge one dollar per hour.”
I almost choked on my coffee.
“One dollar an hour?”
She nodded.
“That’s right. What industry are you in?”
“Real estate,” I said, curious where this was going.
Her eyes lit up instantly... (The rest of the story...)
