This month, the ActiveRain challenge is about thankfulness as is typical with our November challenges. Our host, Lynn B. Friedman CRS Atlanta, GA 404-617-6375 has indicated we can share someone's thankfulness FOR us, or our thankfulness for someone else. Specifically, someone who may have been helpful in our real estate role. My first post focused on an attorney I met while taking real estate courses. The second post focused on my gratitude for people who were not so helpful. And this one is focusing on those in my real estate career who WERE helpful.
First, there is Lesley. I just can't start without her. She was the office assistant who sat at the front desk in my first office. Lesley handled all the administrative tasks for the entire office of about forty or fifty people. She always had a smile and lent a helping hand, but even more than that was something she saved just for me. When I would come in for a floor-time shift or anything else, as I passed her desk and we smiled at each other, she'd include the following, said with a smile and a fist bumping up to the sky. "Kat, Kat, Kat!" she'd chant, just like my personal cheerleader, giving me the encouragement I needed for my day. She was a treasure in the office, and turned into a friend. Thank you to Lesley for her personalized cheers.
And then there is John McCarthy right here from ActiveRain (ps, this is not really a photo of him, it's an AI photo). I wrote my first post in December 2010. The post was all about getting started in real estate. I started getting comments, and the post was featured, and I was clueless about what that all meant. What was a feature? What do I do with these comments? And John was the first person who reached out to me in person. He welcomed me to the platform, and shared the etiquette for posts, specifically mentioned that we needed to reply to the people who took the time to comment on our words. So a huge thank you to John who got me started on the right foot in ActiveRain!
Of course, there are all the clients who helped by being great teammates and some who turned into wonderful friends. Any kind of transaction is a million times better when all parties work together to make it a success. So thank you to all of you! You know who you are.
And in addition to all that, I am eternally grateful for all the people who make up ActiveRain. I learned more about real estate here than anywhere else. I was able to ask questions when I had them, and get real answers. My participation and involvement on the ActiveRain site has resulted in friendships, laughter, increased knowledge and more. So thank you to everyone I've come into contact with here.
And that wraps up my third gratitude post for this month. Thank you for reading!
