The Colors of Fall in Prospect, CT 2025 Fini!
Each Fall I share a sequence of posts on the progression of colors on the golf Course at Crestbrook Park in Watertown, CT.
I like it as it has high vistas that make for special views when the colors are turning, and as I played and walked almost every hole I ever played for almost 38 years, it has a special place in my heart.
We do have some fine colors in our yard, but as they yard is not as large it doesn't last very long, except!
In our front yard, stands a red maple tree, whose roots sit in the middle of the septic system
It is always the last to change colors as the toes are warm and nourished, and for the same reason, the leaves stay on the tree until the snow knocks them off.
So, as we got home from a slightly longer anniversary escape, I had a huge smile on my face as I saw the red maple in the front yard.
It seemed that the tree somehow sensed that we had been taxed, and that that no place like home' slogan needed emphasis. Somehow it seemed larger, deeper red and just happy to be there, as were we.
I understand how karma sometimes just takes over and brings a sense of normalcy to life.
