I've owned a lot of laptops and desktops over the years. Thankfully not a one has burst into flames... yet. I best knock on wood as I just purchased a new battery for my old (but beautiful) Toshiba Satellite A665.
This laptop has been sitting in a case on the shelf for a few years because of the dead battery although it worked perfectly while plugged in.
I decided it was time to break it back out as I have found it useful for Tuesday's Active Rain Zoom meetings. Prior to logging on with the Toshiba I tried my phone and two desktop computers. The Toshiba works the best.
I am Thankful for the myriad of electronic we have to communicate with each other.
Of course #1 would be our phones. Phones have been number one ever sense Alexander Bell asked Watson "Can you hear me now?".
#2 for me is the computer. Ever since my first IBM 8088 I have been using billboards, then the WWW, and of course blogging.
BLOGGING! I'm guessing that everyone reading this has experienced being set on FIRE by the blogging bug. My first post on 04/24/2008 got me going but I didn't catch fire immediately. However once I saw the leaderboard I started burning trying to be number 1 in Minot, then North Dakota, and the freebee mark, on to 1,000,000 and now it's on to page one. I'm blogging everyday but that first page is a tough climb. At the beginning of this year I was # 61 and today I'm #55. While I'm making slow progress I've been eating Kat Palmiotti dust for about two years now. I'll never catch her but we should both be on the first page by the end of 2026. Go Kat go, I'll be right behind you ☺️.
Blogging got me noticed by two builders who hired me because of my media skills. I will always be thankful to Dragon and Randy. Working for them truly made my career during my last decade in Real Estate.
