Well, what is it? Dorothy said in the Wizard of Oz, as she and Toto longed to see Auntie Em and she clicked her ruby slippers 3 times:

"There is No Place Like HOME,

There is No Place Like HOME"

Now this is as TRUE STATEMENT. Why is there no place like home? There is a story behind that question, so read on to find out. We all have the inner urge to go HOME. That is why I am in real estate to find YOUR reason to go home and help you just do that.

The Back Story About HOME

What I always wanted to be when I was a kid was a major league baseball player. However, I was just not good enough. I grew up rooting for the New York Yankees. Now, I am an Arizona Diamondbacks fan. Yet, I remember the play and movie Dam Yankees where the devil tempts a fan to giving up his soul to play in the major leagues and beat those dreaded Yankees. Now I would definitely not do THAT! 

You see, when I realized that I could never become a Big Leaguer in Baseball, I decided to become the next closest thing...a Real Estate Agent! What? Are you crazy? Why do you say Real Estate is the next closest thing to baseball?

Did anyone ever tell you to "GO HOME" before? Maybe you were in Little League once watching the dandelions grow while you are standing on third base thinking about going out for ice cream after the game. Tommy Jones, the other team's catcher lets a 4 bouncer pitch get past him and it rolls all the way to the backstop. One of the Dad coaches yells to  you "GO HOME!" while waking you up out of your day dream.

Well, I do that as well as a licensed Real Estate Agent. I am ALWAYS telling my clients to GO HOME and I send them hundreds of MLS listings to them to plant those seeds.

Baseball and Real Estate actually have a lot in common? 

Baseball and Real Estate are similar...Have you noticed that the object of both is to "GO HOME"!

Baseball players practice and train to "go home" 

Real Estate agents (like me)...I wanted to be a baseball player. I practice, train for my clients to "Go Home". Hey, going home is the "American Dream".

The object of both professions is the same.

As matter of fact for 125+ years, owning and going home is good for us and for America. Baseball is an American (Pastime) tradition, hot dogs, apple pie & going "Home".

Baseball is an American Tradition & as the comedian George Carlin would say it is all about going HOME! The best play in Baseball? Well it is to run home by hitting a "HOME RUN". In John Fogerty's famous song "Centerfield" the lyrics say, "there is new grass on the field...he is rounding third, heading for home, a brown eyed handsome man (Jackie Robinson)...anyone can understand the way I feel..."
