No One Can do the Job Without a Strong Support Team
Real estate is an interesting career. The job requires the knowledge to properly list and sell a client's house, or to properly evaluate a listing in order to make a competitive offer.
It is a business of self-promotion as almost none have a line of people asking them to work with, or for them, unless they have done the work to create recognition.

It starts with the proper brokerage where there are fellow agents that have the answers one may not know, and the support of the broker to make sure one does everything right.
Marketing is important, so the assistance of someone that knows how to best market a web site, or even maintain a proper website is important. In addition, today's business is all about social media exposure so that requires assistance.
Whether it's for a pre-listing information gathering or a matter of assistance with a new buyer, knowing qualified trades people in the area is important. Everyone has to have a list of special 'people' that can resolve an issue or at least a contact name to offer.
In addition, a few of those contacts should be qualified, non-alarmist inspectors that can do their jobs and not present in a way that scares a client so much that they want to back out of a contract or request an unrealistic number of repairs.
Having names of loan officers that can offer assistance with mortgages or even helping a buyer to understand why they cannot qualify for a higher loan amount and what they might do to get that fixed, is also a handy tool to have available.
I recall an issue that came up with a sale of a condo that was a real stall. The title search disclosed an improperly filed title that went back 2 sales. The name of the person who could clear it up was found but they were not willing to offer the details necessary, which were merely date of birth and social security number, which was somewhat understandable.
I reached out to a local lender contact and while talking to that person, a huge smile came on their face. The investor that refused to help was also in the process of buying an investment property. They made the calls necessary to resolve the old title and allowed the contract to proceed forward without any further issues.
Ours is not a solitary business and we all need help at some time or other. I was very grateful to have had help when needed, and to also be able to offer help when asked.
