Thanksgiving 🦃 By The Numbers: 2025 Edition With 60+ Facts To Savor

Those are certainly some interesting statistics, and I don't fit into the norm with regard to them, haha.

Nina Hollander, Broker - Thanksgiving Day is a special day for many families and friends. Let's all celebrate in ways we can and be thankful for however we can celebrate. 

Our numbers will be somewhat consistent this year, as we have lost no one from last year. and for us, that number is the most important.

Good morning Nina. My son and grandkids don't eat turkey, so 50% of the group are out on the bird. We have a pumpkin pie and an apple pie this year since the store had a buy one, get one on pies. We will have mashed potatoes, stuffing and sweet potatoes with gravy. And since my daughter-in-law's mother and grandmother can't make it this year, we will have leftovers. Enjoy you meal dining out.  

I have noticed prices at the store for many of the items have come down. That is certainly a good thing!

Nina, Thanksgiving Day may be football and parade traditions, and at our home it's having as much of the family over as possible.

Wow, these facts and figures are always eye opening and fun too. But this one is not:

• On average, 2,092 calories will be consumed by the average person on Thanksgiving Day. (Did you know it would takes the average male some five hours to burn those calories?)

Nina, Thanksgiving definitely was not a strain financially, bought two turkey legs, stuffing mix and some fresh green beans.   They were not offering the mini pecan pies, so that saved me some INCHES!  (except I will still be thinking of that pie...)

Hello Nina  and hope you have a big Thanksgiving feast tomorrow.  We are up in the mountains at cabins with other friends.

Hi Nina- i love the Numbers posts you share with us. Even though I'm hosting, I'm lucky in that everyone pitches in. Larry will do the turkey. We have 4 pies tomorrow, so far plus brownies, my bundt cake, some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and who knows what else. As you can see...my family loves desserts. 

Nina I don't know of any towns named Turkey, but I do know a few people I refer to as one ..... LOL

Hi Nina hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!  Ours was perfect.  Laid back, relaxed and everyone pitched in with some lovely side dishes.  As always,  too much food and lots of leftovers!
