This is my 4th and last post for November's challenge. Thanks Lynn B. Friedman CRS Atlanta, GA 404-617-6375 for hosting this month's challenge.
I started in this crazy career 30 years ago, when we carried around LOTS of quarters to stop at phone booths, and had MLS books that were already out of date when they were delivered. Our buyers saw homes WE chose for them with their specific parameters, and we took our chances. And remember writing contracts on the hood of my car!
Cell phones sure helped us, and saved us some quarters, but those first cell phone bills were out of control! MLS is now online, and our clients (for the most part) choose the homes they want to see. Writing contracts got LOTS better when they became digital, and now our clients can be halfway around the world, and still sign a contract! WOO HOO!
AI can enhance our descriptions in MLS for our new listings, and also can create some nice photos for our blogs and social media posts. I remember paying for a service to obtain photos without the chance of copyright infringement issues!
These days I rely on my RING doorbell, Nest thermostat, which I can access on my phone. Also have a Ring camera inside so I can watch to see what those furbabies are getting into! Earlier this year, I bought a Samsung stove, that is a SMART one! I can turn it on, and change the clock on my phone. The app is called SMART THINGS.
Recently my Fitbit has been not working (on a regular basis), so I decided to look around to see what else there was. I bought a VeryFit phone, and actually was a 1/3 of the Fitbit cost, and has double the amount of information on it.
Couldn't live without my Aftershokz headset. The headset is bone connection, so the headset does not cover your ears. It is meant for runners or bikers, so they can hear the traffic. Although when I get in the car, my Bluetooth and my headset kind of fit with each other to see which one gets to work in the car! LOL
Sometimes technology can make our job more intense, but in many ways, it sure does make it easier, I think.
