Nina Hollander, Broker - I was thinking and reading about Mother Teresa a couple of days ago.

Queen City Charlotte initiated a worthwhile endeavor. May it rain $$$ in Charlotte and all over the world for people in need.

Good Tuesday morning, Nina. This is timely information to share with area residents.

In our area, food banks need much additional assistance.

Same here, Roy. The mind boggles at how much food insecurity we see in affluent counties.

Nina, Today serves as a gentle reminder that generosity isn’t a once-a-year event. Many people rely on consistent kindness, not just special moments.

Good morning Nina,

Today is an important day. Your post is a good reminder to make sure to make it a priority to give and not just today. So many non-profits make it easy for you to donate. One of my favorite Charites is GGG (Gavin's Gift of Grace). A dear friends grandbaby died as an infant and they have a non-profit to help grieving parents. I always like to donate to them. I also bought gifts for Austin Angels (they help foster kids) and we will be wrapping gifts for them tomorrow at Wrappy Hour! Love this time of year and helping make children's Christmas a little brighter.

Dorie Dillard Austin TX hi Dorie... I love the organizations you support. I'm getting ready to send a donation to the Charlotte Humane Society, which is one of my special causes always.

I think about giving in three areas, 1. children, 2. vets, 3. puppies

It bothers me that many children have nothing to be thankful for at Christmas.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty hi Jeff... children (through Save the Children and St Jude) and pets (through the Humane Society of Charlotte) are our top two causes, as well.

Hi Nina,

There is certainly no shortage of opportunities for giving.

H. Jackson Brown, Jr is absolutely right:
"Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more."

Carol Williams there is something to the act of giving, for sure, Carol. I "gave" to two of my favorite causes today and each time after I did I was smiling from ear to ear. It felt good to support organizations I am committed to.

Hi Nina- Where would we be without the many who give of their time and money to help others?   Have you seen Rocky Kanaka?  He volunteers at dog shelters working with abused dogs. He coaxes them to come out of their "shell."

Kathy Streib good morning, Kathy, I am familiar with Rocky and I follow him on Instagram. Having once adopted an abused dog, I'm very sensitive to that particular topic. Rocky is doing God's work, if you ask me.
