Quite a few years ago, I had a client sitting at the settlement table, thrilled to be buying her dream house. Throughout the entire process, I handled every detail behind the scenes, shielding her from the complexities of real estate transactions. To her, it seemed like I had found her a home and collected at closing, without any of the daily efforts involved. As she reviewed the settlement sheet and signed the multitude of documents, there was no thank you; instead, she confidently proclaimed, “This business is easy! I’m going to get my real estate license!”

I offered to mentor her through the process, but she flatly rejected my offer.
Fast forward to the following year...her dream house was on the market. Seems like it wasn’t quite as simple as it appeared! While checking inventory, I noticed her home was listed, yet there was no record of any other listings, much less sales, in her MLS history. This was after she had been in business for one year.
Real estate might look easy from the outside, but it’s a team effort involving a whole cast of folks: the buyer, the seller, agents, lenders, appraisers, inspectors, and so many others. Each of them plays a role in getting to that final closing.
And let’s not forget the hiccups: appraisal issues, unexpected repairs, changing schedules, and even weather delays.

It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, too; frustrations can run high, and moving dates can shift at a moment’s notice!
If you're considering exploring real estate or selling your home, it's good to remember that it involves much more than simply showing a house and collecting a check.
You don't have to go through it alone! If you have questions or need guidance, let's navigate this journey together!
