Carlsbad Village Holiday Window Decorating Contest

Carlsbad’s holiday events are in full swing. And that means it’s time once again for the popular Carlsbad Village Window Display Contest.

Residents will certainly recall the Holiday Window Display contest in Carlsbad Village from previous years. The Contest is sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association and there are always some amazing window displays. There are 22 retailers participating this year according to the website.

Public voting online is available now through 5:00 pm on December 16th for the “People’s Choice Award.” The online ballot is on the Carlsbad Village Association website.

Here's a holiday window display from a few years ago;

A special panel of judges will select winners of the “Classic Holiday Charm, Children’s Delight, Best of Carlsbad Spirit, and Most Creative Display” categories. The public will select the “People’s Choice Award”.

Winners will be announced on the Carlsbad Village Association website and in their email newsletter and social media on December 17th. All category winners will be featured in the January/February issue of Carlsbad Magazine. The People's Choice winner receives a free 1/4-page ad in Carlsbad Magazine and a restaurant certificate for a holiday team outing.

It’s a great time to experience the festive spirit of the Village and multiple beautiful window displays. And you can also enjoy holiday shopping and dining at one of Carlsbad Village’s many fine eateries.

Hi Jeff- This is an event I would definitely want to attend!!! What a perfect way to celebrate the season and get the whole community together. As a kid growing up in Houston, I remember going downtown to see the windows in Foley's, Neiman Marcus and Sakowitz.

It's certainly fun to wander the Village streets to see everything all decorated for the holidays. I, too, remember seeing holiday windows in Philadelphia, especially Gimbels, as a kid. We were in Paris one holiday season in late December and really enjoyed those window displays.
