I think it is important to remember to thank those that assist you and help you in your business. It is important to say thank you! I would like to honor our amazing and technically gifted son and business associate, Chris Woodworth. He once was asked what he did in our company and he said, "I make her shine!" That is correct. I am the big picture person and occasionally give my attention to details regarding technical things. However, he is the one that brings my desires and dreams to life! He has learned and figured things out mostly on his own.
My brother in law told me that he helped our niece on her paper in college on the "Impact of the Internet." He said, "as Baby Boomers, we are like Immigrants coming to a new country when it comes to the computer and the Internet. Most young people under 30 years old are considered Natives of the computer and Internet land. Isn't that an amazing analogy?
I want to honor Chris today, because even though he assists both me and my husband in our various business and endeavors he is the one that helps to accomplish our goals. He has the patience of a saint. Thank goodness! He gets a kick out of me trying to explain something to him in a creative manner and not in a technical manner. He makes me slow down and he now repeats to me what he thinks I want him to do. I forget he cannot read my mind! However he is good to get me to slow down. We get to laugh at my foibles and my confusion on how technical things sometime work. He also monitors how much I work and has me take consistent breaks. I am learning the importance of self care. I am slowly getting better. I get nervous thinking about all of his technical stuff he does for us. I have learned to delegate and then walk away and let him do his thing. It works so much better that way. Of course this helps to keep my sanity!
So, here's to you Chris: "Thank you, thank you, and thank you! Words seem a little empty as I try to explain to you how much richer, fuller and interesting our lives have truly been been since you entered our lives over twelve years ago. It has been an honor to be your newly adopted Mom, Boss and Friend. You are simply amazing and so very intelligent! I think you are one of the most brilliant and kind people I know for your age. You have grown so much since we first met. I can see that you have not even reached your amazing potential, and I know you are going to be great. Thank you again for being you! You are absolutely Awesome!
