When the Market Chills: December Action Plan for Realtors & My Action Plan

By
Industry Observer DRE# ER40011786

Over most of my years, I took December to look at my systems:  my listing presentation and pages on my web site.  Either revamp them, or redo them altogether.   With my niches in mind, I focused on those areas for all the things I reviewing.    I put together a newsletter with hope in mind for a good year and sent it out early in January after the stats were out for December.

I have never needed a goal, I knew what needed to be done, and did pretty well in my 30 years.   If I had too much free time on my hands, I knew I needed more business!

Now:   I have sent my last informational newsletter.  The next one will be to share my retirement news!    It may come as a shock to a few, as many said they couldn't ever see me retiring.  Afterall, I did love what I did!

Now, preparing to leave for Arizona next week for the Christmas Holidays.  Will meet with Carol Williams a couple of times, once in Yuma, and once in Bullhead to have a birthday dinner with her friend Shirley, who I met last year.

Have the car cleaned out, and warned the kitties they will be coming with me in the car.   They saw the suitcase and probably went - OH S...T!   I told them they won't see the petsitters anymore.   But the next trip will be a BIG one!   They do enjoy the car trips.   They don't meow, unless they come to the zipper and want their faces scratched.

Sometimes when you are slow, just plan a trip, and that's when you will get busy, of course!    Kelly McGovern found that out when she flew to the Bahamas!

Have checked the weather for next week, and full sun, upper 40's and 50's all the way through Gallop, NM, YIPPEE.   I got lucky again.  Hope the trip back will be the same!

HOPEFULLY, the snow will stay away, as traveling via car in December can be a disaster.  Even Sedona got snow!   Looking forward to seeing another part of our Country!

Good morning, Joan... I can totally relate to this: "I have never needed a goal, I knew what needed to be done." When I left the corporate world in 1989 I said I'd never do another business plan... and I haven't. I've just always done what I know needs doing and put one foot in front of the other each day to do. Somehow, it's always worked out well.

Hi Joan,
The weather here is going to be lovely when you arrive and, hopefully, stay that way during your visit. Looking forward to seeing you.

I think animals fly much better in the winter. Those pet areas are awful and hot in summer. They have a built in coat for winter.

Our cat meows all the time in the car, not fun to have on a trip. Jackie meanwhile just curls up and sleeps so  much so you forget she is there.

Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 mostly they sleep, but come to the zipper when they want their faces scratched.  I also get in the back when I stop for gas and pet them.

So funny—when I leave for a trip, I tell my parakeet, Elvis, that I’ll be gone for a few days but Nana will stop by to visit while I’m away. Haha, I’m glad I’m not the only one who talks to their pets and thinks they understand!

Kelly McGovern I think my tabby/tortie Lucy understands alot, Izzi is a follower, and just does whatever Lucy does.   Elvis sounds fun!

Hi Joan- It sounds like you're all set for AZ!!! It would take my Brittany at least half an hour to calm down when we went for car rides. She paced back and forth in the back seat.

Safe travels and hopefully no snow covered roads.
