Turning 100 - Is that in YOUR Future - Happy Birthday Dick Van Dyke

Dick Van Dyke will be turning 100 tomorrow, and having quite the celebration, as he should!   

He was joking - "It would be funny if I didn't make it."    

He also has been quoted to say - if he knew he would live this long, he would have take better care of himself.    He doesn't know what he did right to live this long!   He does credit his wife to help him!

Have you thought about how long you will live?   Do you have longevity in your genes?   Both of my parents passed in their 50's, but then again, they smoked 3 packs a day.    I am blessed, so far!

Longevity is in my genes, Joan, on both sides of my parentage. That being said, I personally have no interest in living to 100.

Joan Cox  George Burns lived to be 100 and he was a cigar smoker, so it must be in the genes. My grandmother passed at 96, so it is possibly that I could live to be 100-120

It reminds me of the Bible verse:

"A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones". Proverbs 17:22

Hi Joan- my friend's mother will turn 106 this January and she is sharp as a tack. She is president of the homeowners assn at her retirement community and organized her most recent fashion show.

Hi Joan, Wishing Dick Van Dyke a very Happy Birthday for reaching 100 years. I don't have longevity genes, but I have outlived both of my parents. However, some of my uncles and aunts have lived to their 90's.
