AR Zoom meeting this past Tuesday I missed as I was in Houston. I hated missing because they had a round-table discussion that touched on all sorts of topics and those attending had a fun hour! For homework, their assignment was two-fold. First, to use an AI platform and ask it to do a comedy roast about us and two, to ask for a photo of us in our environment. I just had to give it a try!
First, I went to ChatGPT and used the prompt "Do a Comedy Central roast on me, Dorie Dillard, of Austin Texas"
Here is the unedited roast of me:
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the roast of Dorie Dillard of Austin, Texas —
a woman who knows more about Canyon Creek home values than Zillow, more about community than City Hall, and more about grandkid schedules than Google Calendar.
Dorie is a Coldwell Banker Realtor, which means she can sell a house in any market — boom, bust, Mercury in retrograde — doesn’t matter. If the roof is leaking, the foundation is cracked, and the buyer is nervous, Dorie just smiles and says, “But have you seen the light in the breakfast nook?”
She lives, works, and plays in Canyon Creek, which is impressive because she somehow manages to know everyone, their dog’s name, their grandkids’ birthdays, and whether their Christmas lights are HOA-approved. You don’t move into Canyon Creek — Dorie already knows you’re coming.
Dorie loves her grandchildren so much that half her camera roll is Beckett, the other half is Hudson, and the remaining 2% is blurry photos of sunsets she meant to post with a motivational quote. If unconditional love were currency, Dorie would have paid off Austin real estate taxes for the next 40 years.
She’s elegant, warm, and gracious — which is incredible because she’s also been through enough real estate transactions to qualify as a certified hostage negotiator. Five extensions? No problem. She’ll calm the buyer, reassure the seller, charm the other agent, and still make it to a grandkid’s game by halftime.
And let’s talk about her positivity. Dorie doesn’t call challenges “problems.”
She calls them “chapters,” “journeys,” or “well, that wasn’t on my bingo card.”
This woman could get stuck in Austin traffic for three hours and say, “Well… it gave me time to reflect.”
Dorie Dillard is proof that kindness can be powerful, community can be built one conversation at a time, and that no matter what life throws at you, you can face it with grace, humor, and a really good pair of earrings.
So here’s to you, Dorie —
Austin icon, Canyon Creek connector, Nana extraordinaire, and the only person who can roast you…
and still make you feel completely loved at the same time. 💛

I then went to Google Gemini and entered the prompt: “Take this picture of me and use it to create a photo of me in the style of me in my Canyon Creek Community in Austin TX as a trusted Coldwell Banker Realtor.” It said it could not edit public photos of a public figure. This is the picture it gave me:

I then went into Gemini NanoBanana and typed in this prompt: “Please create a photo that looks similar to me in my Canyon Creek Community environment depicting me as the trusted Coldwell Banker Realtor.” This is the photo it generated:

Enough fun before I spend the night going down the rabbit hole! I just had to give it a try!
