As Well As Memories
From The Past. . .
As each year approaches its close, it may be a time to start thinking about taking inventory of what has happened in the past twelve months. For me, such occasions can occur periodically throughout everyday life.
Presents as well as presence are also evident during this holiday season. Memories can be made. Naturally or because the calendar is marked in such a way as to capture our attention. Some may seem significant as they happen, and others earn their place when time and perspective combine.
As is relatively typical for me, this post is being written in advance and scheduled for December 25. Since I continue to learn from words of wisdom from others, I am sharing two new-to-me quotes. One from a familiar source of mine (Mo Rocca), the other someone previously unknown to me (Ann Voskamp). I anticipate this enlightenment of comparing contrasting ideas will continue in 2026 and beyond:
