So based on the poll it seems the largest % of staging business comes from relator's referrals so how are "stagers" building that referral business ?

I'm a little confused, are you asking how do we as stagers claim them as our referrals? Would love to respond but I'm just not sure what your asking.

A lot depends on the individual real estate market and whether staging is standard practice. In a metropolitan area (Raleigh, NC area, San Francisco, Vancouver...), Realtors know they need to bring in a professional stager for their listings. Realtors are more with the trend in larger cities (apples)...as opposed to being far behind the trend in the majority of areas (oranges)in the US. Early adopter vs late adopters curve. IMHO--The answer for your poll will be skewed based on the size of the city and if it is a metro-area. (It seems to be a major factor in whether stagers receive the majority of their business through Realtors or not. Homeowners tend to be more on the ball in the less-metro areas and will call in the stager themselves.) Canada seems to be way ahead of most cities in the US at this point and has not seen the depression of prices we are now experiencing...a slow real estate market changes a lot of factors. I agree with what you have said. I had to make a generalization. Can you imagine if I would split up all the variables into individual polls? As it is now, I've only had 49 votes. I don't think we would have seen results if I broke it into categories. But I do agree - if it is to be exactly scientific. I actually thought more people would enjoy participating, just to see where everyone else benefits in general.
