Southwest Florida has long been a boom town. Despite the slowdown in real estate home sales, the construction boom lives on in the region. Newcomers waiting for home prices to drop further, are renting new apartments in droves.

That people are continuing to rent while waiting for interest rates to drop is not surprising but they should also understand that prices will rise when everyone rushes into the market at the same time
