Journal Writing for New Year's Eve 12/31/2025

I have shared the Roman Imperial Family Tree of the Second Century. In 2025, I was fortunate enough to visit the Kimball Museum in Fort Worth where this traveling exhibit was featured for the first time in America. Perhaps one or more of these famous quotes will resonate with you into the New Year 2026 to make you stronger with a healthier state of body and mind. Photos were allowed inside the Museum without flash. All photos I took while being present at the Exhibit were taken with permission.

- Quotes from Emperor Augustus:
- "A man's character is his fate."
- "The greatest blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach.
- Quote from Marciana
- " It is better to be too honest to be polite than to be too polite to be honest."
- About Trajan:
"Trajan became the commander of the world's largest army. It was a tradition for any new emperor to kick-start his reign with a little military adventure - and Trajan wasn't going to be left out. Kicking ass on frontiers helped an emperor to stamp his Empire, built his reputation and kept the army busy."
- Quote from Poltina
-"Withdraw into yourself and look."
- Quote Hadrian
- "The greatest wars are fought within one's own mind."
- Quote Antoninus Pius
-"Life is short; the only fruit of the earth - life is to do good to the men among whom our lot is cast."
- Quote Marcus Aurelius
-"The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts."
- Quote Faustina
-"Great things can change small things into great ones."
- Commodus
-"I will give the people the greatest vision of their lives."
- Lucius Veras
- "Strength and Honor."
- Septimus Severus
-"I have been everything, and everything is nothing. A little urn will contain all that remains of one for whom the whole world was too little."
- Julia Domna
Roman empress from 193 to 211 as the wife of Emperor Semtimus Severus.

Note: Images of emperors and their family members proliferated across the empire's provinces, deploying similar hairstyles and facial features to promote a sense of dynastic continuity and familial connection to be instantly recognizable to ancient viewer.
