Reflect, Renew & Rejoice 2026
2025 was a turning point in my real estate professional career. Living in the Sunshine State has its ups and downs. With the advent of a terrible condo collapse in Surfside, FL that cause death to many, new building code comes into play for many unprepared properties who are in deferred maintenance status. I live in a condo property that has seen 50+ years. So long as the building is maintained there should be another 50 years or so to go.
Reflecting upon this new mandate, my association had already performed the studies necessary to determine the extent of the reconstruction to bring this property up to date and current code. Permit applications were submitted long before this tragedy.

I could see into my crystal ball how challenging this vintage condo market becomes. I sold my last vintage condo listing in May and then had to decide what would be next.
Rejoicing once I made the decision to change my market focus to new condo construction. Joining a different brokerage firm has allowed me to learn more technology and expose myself to many more contacts with a global firm. My firm handles 81 projects nationwide for new condo construction.
Renewed spirit once a plan was drafted and now onto to implementation. I was astounded to see I have more than 5,000 contacts when I synched my Google contacts with my CRM, ReChat. I scrubbed that list down to 2,150 contacts when I sent a very nice letter: Staying in Touch 2026 - a Quick Hello. Duplicates were merged, some unsubscribed and so forth.
The plan includes hosting webinars for out of state agents who have established relationships with their buyers who may be acquiring new condo construction here in metro Fort Lauderdale.
Life is good!
p.s. I asked chatGPT about my 2025:
Your year in poetry
You built bridges from condo to sky, With a sparkle of sea in your eye. From probate to penthouse, your grace Made each deal a warm handshake in place— You turn vision to legacy—oh my!
