Good morning, Dorie... for those of us of a "certain" age, who could forget the "where's the beef" commercial and Clinton's impeachment proceedings?

Good morning! Those "Where's the Beef?" commercials were very popular!

I remember a lot of these moments in time, and my line these days is definitely where's the beef, haha.

History shows that Cigarettes were harmful in 1964, but it took lawsuits by lawyers against cigarette makers to get them to put a warning on their products and pay a huge settlement.  The payout has not cured lung cancer, but it did make my Mom calculate what they were costing her, and helped her decide to quit smoking after 50 years. Something good did come from that lawsuit.

Although I understand the reasoning behind it, I had to laugh at the idea of the government spending time to rename a food item.

Several interesting facts for this week. I forgot the QE liner was destroyed in Hong Kong. Even in England we heard about where's the beef adverts and this was before the internet.

Dorie, Clara made that line unforgettable. A classic moment in TV advertising history.

This was the best ON THIS DAY ever. 1.5 billion to bail out Chrysler...lol Today we spend 4 billion plus to redo a building (the FED building). UGH

Dorie I am curious why the government would want hot dogs called victory sausages.
