Welcome to the new year. Exercising more is the #1 New Year's resolution. The Ventura Marathon 2026 takes place next month. It's the perfect reason to work on adding more exercise into your daily routine.

Ventura Marathon 2026
If running 26.2 miles feels a little overwhelming, you might want to choose the half-marathon option. It offers a nice compromise for anyone that has never run a full marathon before. All runners take off at 6:30 am on Sunday, February 22nd. The starting point is at Grand and McNell Avenues in Ojai. It ends in downtown Ventura. The primarily downhill race course also provides an easier entrance into endurance racing. That can be helpful for those who have never done this before.
After the race, organizers invite runners and spectators to the Health & Fitness Expo. The expo opens at 7:30 am with the beer garden opening at 8 am. Come meet with dozens of vendors while waiting for your favorite runners to finish their race. Last call at the beer gardens comes at 1 pm. The expo itself closes at 2 pm.
Registration Info
Registration costs $180 for the full marathon and $160 for the half marathon. Runners pay an additional service fee for each ticket when registering online as well. To register, visit the online portal here. Registration packets may be picked up between 11 am and 5 pm on Saturday, February 21st. The full marathon here in Ventura acts as a Boston Qualifier, for those interested in participating in that race for next year. To qualify for this year's Boston Marathon, you needed to qualify before September 8th, 2025. Good luck to all!
