Congratulations to my friends on purchasing a home for their family in the town of Wilton,CT. Wilton is a lovely upscale bedroom community in Fairfield County, CT. It is about 35 minutes south of Danbury and 30 minutes north east from Stamford, CT.
This was a fun one from when an old high school track-mate called me out of the blue. We connected a few times adults at mutual friends weddings & bbqs and unfortunately a couple of wakes but didn't spend much time together as they bounced around a few spots after college. So a couple of years ago saying they were going back to the area & wanted assistance on their move. In this super competitive market—and with their search limited to just a few towns in Fairfield County,CT—it took many jumps & false starts to clear the bar. Multiple offers , a lot of patience, and some strategy adjustments were made along the way to the finish line, but we got there. It's funny to look back and see the transition from us teenagers doing the challenging 'Field Street' sprints in Danbury to all day meets, to seeing you with your wife & kids on countless showings & doing offers all the way to the closing table.
Their new home on Village Court sits in the Grumman Hill village community of Wilton, CT. This is a unique neighborhood in the town with about 50 homes built in the mid 1990s, since the association maintains the roads, driveway and the grounds. All of the homes are free standing. Their home offers about 1800 square feet with 3-4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a 2 car garage. They purchased the home from the original owner who recently invested in a new furnace, central air, hot water heater, as well as replaced upper & main level flooring. The rest of the home was well maintained but had elements that are now dated. The community is serviced by public water & sewer and natural gas heat.
Real estate isn't always a sprint. Sometimes it's more like the long jump or pole vault—you miss a few times before you make it over or go far enough to win. Proud of you for sticking with it. Congrats! Purchase price available upon request. This home was purchased in December 2025.
