Good morning Nina. While I do not put much faith in school rankings I am definitely in the minority. Location based on the schools is a trip priority for most families. Only once in my career did someone say the house is more important than the location with regards to schools. He was a transferee who would only be in the area for a year or two.

A key factor in relocation is schools after proximity to work with schools also at the top. parents will also make the longer drive if needed to get the schools best suited for their children, Nina Hollander, Broker

Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 good morning, Ed... my experience in Charlotte area is that schools are #1 on parents' lists when relocating. Commute is second.

At one time I loved these ratings. Once I started looking deeper into them, I realized they meant very little. Often based on things that are not about actual education.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty hi Jeff... I can tell you that the schools in the Charlotte lists are indeed the top schools in the area... no surprises to me as to which schools ranked.

Hi Nina- this is what families look for. It's too bad that not every community will have outstanding schools for their children.

Kathy Streib hi Kathy... truly a conundrum. Our least effective schools typically have the most amount of money thrown at them. And awful lot, I believe, depends on the parents and how involved they are. I know in our best schools parents are very involved.
