Your Where in Real Estate Is…?

By
Real Estate Agent with Dirt Road Real Estate SA676002000

Some may remember the original Alice in Wonderland movie when Alice comes across a tree in the woods and wonders what path she should take. Here she meets the Cheshire Cat who she then asks which way should she go.  The Cat responds it really doesn’t matter as Alice doesn’t know where she is going.

For some real estate agents, they are much like Alice. They don’t know where they are truly going.

For business owners, from the micro to the macro knowing the WHERE is the Vision, the vanishing point on the horizon. This vanishing point is different for each individual and may potentially conflict with the brokerage’s vision as well.

Fortunately, when I signed on with Dirt Road Real Estate, I understood the Vision of the founders.  Since that time, I have fine tuned my Vision Statement and ensured my WHERE was in alignment with not only my Purpose, my Values, but with DIRT ROAD REAL ESTATE’s WHERE as well.

VISION STATEMENT

To continue to be a TRAILBLAZER here in Mohave County, AZ and especially Golden Valley, AZ who supports individuals who wish to own their own little piece of heaven or sell their own vacant land and have clarity as to what they desire while respecting my own professional and personal goals.

Yes, not knowing WHERE you are going in one’s real estate practice may have the end result in as some have said in “chasing the split.” And the other side of the coin, is not knowing your WHERE returns to not having clarity about your WHY and your WHAT.

This is the third in a four part series.

Good morning Leanne. Failure to plan is planning to fail. Without personal clarity of where you want to go a plan is only as good as the paper it is written on. Spot on my friend. Enjoy your day.

And a somewhat chilly morning to you Wayne.  Yes failure to plan is planning to fail.  I believe Dwight Eisenhower was one individual who made this statement. As the leader of D-Day invasion, he had to plan down to the last detail.

Hello Leanne and lots of WHERE and I always remember to get to where you want to get to you need to PLAN

Yeppers and that plan again in my opinion starts with Purpose, Values and Vision.  From my observations way too many folks in all industries engage in spray and pray.  Spray your actions all over the place and pray something sticks.

Leanne, some agents do try lots of different directions, and are good at none.   You should choose a niche or two and stick with it for a few years.

Again more wisdom and sometimes it takes a while to discover what one is good at and if the "good" is aligned with his or her personal statements.

Hi Leanne- it's like getting in a car and driving without knowing where you're going. You  have to decide for yourself where you want to end up, then you can work on which roads you need to take.

Very true Kathy Streib and so true about different roads can lead to the same vision.

Our clients usually lead us in the direction that we need to go based on their needs, haha.

That is true provide the personal agendas of the real estate agents ignore those directions.
