How often do we read about real estate coaches to real estate schools discussing Value Propositions? Then we read the dire warnings if we don’t have one. Of course, these individuals and schools will be more than happy to help you construct one with a fee.
To have clarity, a Value Proposition defines the kind of value a company will create for its customers. (Source; Institute for Strategy an Competitiveness)
First, if we believe value is an emotion, then having emotion infused into this statement does seem to make sense. Yet in reading numerous value propositions, emotion is not present or rarely present.
Second, if we believe in the wisdom of Zig Ziglar that “sales is the transference of feelings,” then his words also suggest emotions are present directly or indirectly in our interactions with customers or clients.
Third, if we believe people buy on emotion first, then justified by logic, again having emotions within this statement does make sense.
Fourth, if we believe our customers, clients and other connections, are the true holders of “value,” that being what is important to them when working with professional real estate agents, then maybe it may make sense to think of the “Value Proposition” more like a bridge connecting the customers values to what we as professional real estate agents bring to the table.
Finally, returning the definition and looking at the words “create.” What better way to “create” a Value Proposition than to tell a short and emotional story? Of course, these stories may not start with “Once upon a time.”
For me, my story has been revised numerous times not because my “values” have change but there have been changes to my WHY, my WHERE, and my HOW.
Value Proposition for 2026
From what has been shared either your need for being off grid or for plenty of elbow room with the presence of utilities and fairly easy dirt road access while not too far from local amenities, I believe as the Grit and Gratitude realtor who lives in Golden Valley and has personally traveled many of the roads here in Mohave County I will go the extra mile to find that “little piece of heaven” while ensuring any accepted contract/offer is monitored through ongoing responsive communication between all parties so that a successful close of escrow happens. Dirt Road Real Estate firmly believes life begins where the pavement ends and I look forward to traveling those dirt roads with you. And why I ❤️ selling dirt!
Within my connecting story, I have acknowledged what my potential clients are seeking, how I know about Mohave County and its dirt roads as well as my values including going the extra mile. I have also incorporated DIRT ROAD REAL ESTATE’s “tag-line” that is also a very short story into my own story. Finally, the story ends with “I ❤️selling dirt!”
Possibly it may make sense to revisit your own Value Proposition or create one from a story perspective as people do love stories and human beings are emotional creatures first.
P.S. Please consider checking out my Facebook business page, The Grit and Gratitude Agent that will focus on the Dirt Roads in Mohave County as well local real estate, lots of dirt or vacant land parcels as some of the local attractions.
