First Impressions Matter When Selling Your Long Island Home

By
Real Estate Agent with The Top Team @ Charles Rutenberg Realty 255 Executive Dr, Plainview NY 11803
The first impression of a home can make all the difference in a sale. From curb appeal to interior staging, a well-presented property attracts more buyers and higher offers. When a home feels inviting and cared for, it shows buyers that it’s worth their time and investment.

First impressions can make or break a sale, and putting in the effort ensures your property stands out from the crowd. A little extra effort can transform a listing from overlooked to irresistible.

The Smiths’ house sat on the market for months with no offers with a different agent. The lawn grew wild, the paint peeled, the front door was chipped, the listing photos lacked personality and didn’t capture the home’s true potential. The home needed a few updates and fresh touches to make it more inviting and highlight its true potential.

After we spoke to the sellers, they refreshed the landscaping, we helped them with staging, and with our marketing efforts, the home sold within days, above asking price. Neglecting small details can make your home less inviting.

Now, let's get your Long Island Home Sold!

I love the comparison that you show, and it is obvious that more people will want to see the home on the right than will want to see the home on the left, which will lead to more offers being made for the home on the right, and for it to sell for a lot more money than the home on the left, haha.

Good morning, Sheila and Larry.... I'm always telling prospective sellers that buyers are making up their minds about a home in the 30 seconds it takes to walk up to the front door. It's all about first impressions.

Good morning Larry and Sheila. My kitchen critic co-chair, Nina Hollander, Broker, nailed this one. Sellers should consult with a local experienced agent to examine the best approach at the time of listing, as-is or fixed up. Enjoy your day.

I am always amazed when touring how many flower beds are filled with weeds, and this is on homes that most likely have landscapers. It just gives a level of not caring that leads one to think what else have they let slip. A little preparation goes a long way.

Happy Friday Sheila and Larry and so true are curb appeal and what it takes to sell a sellers home.

Hello Sheila and Larry - first impressions are obviously important, but I continue to believe it's the ones that last long that continue to matter.

Hi Larry and Sheila- It's the seemingly small things that can derail a sale. Buyers wonder if the lawn or other issues haven't been cared for, what else has been neglected.

Words to sell by for sure,  Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400

The sellers need to recognize that they need to show a property in like manner to what they would like to move onto next. The before and after tell a big story
