Am I Crazy?

Asking yourself "am I crazy" may be a good sign that you are not, HOWEVER if you think that a check-up may be in order then by all means check with a professional.

Long winters can be hard on people due to the separation. This was proven by the Fouchi covid mandate of separation. Maybe Ted Kaczynski also proved it.

Loneliness is no laughing matter, it does kill people. Reflecting back to covid policy I wonder how many nursing home people died because they were seperated from family? When the elderly needed family support the most it was against the law for family to see them.

The point is that no matter how hard it may be to get out and visit one should. It you are not one who needs human interaction good for you BUT maybe you should think of someone who would be delighted with your company for a brief visit today.

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Good morning Bob. Am I crazy? Sometimes you have to ask yourself that question. In retirement somehow my times consumed regularly and I have to ask the question. Most times the answer is "no" and sometimes "yes". Enjoy your day.

I think that you are right about it being more difficult to build a snowman inside a home than outside a home, so I am not sure why anyone would try to do it, haha.

I greatly regret a time where a young man who was getting a divorce all but begged me to be his friend Kat Palmiotti . I contacted him a couple of times but did not make a big effort at being his friend. The divorce, and his being stationed far from home (USAF) was too much for him and he took his life.

I think the majority of North Dakotans thumbed their nose at the mandates when we could, such as our church never quit meeting. We did have one high profile case in Minot where a hairdresser who worked for a nursing home lost her license because she continued to do the elderly ladies hair.

Hi Bob- I couldn't agree more. Just reaching out to say hello is a big help. As we age, our circle of friends diminishes and our ability to get out may be an issue. If you know of someone, reach out and offer to drive them somewhere or go for coffee. 

As for the question am I crazy?  Of course I am.

Bob "RealMan" Timm  Agreed with you, it is important to stop in and say hello to people in person.  Many elders live alone and would love someone to visit as many of their families don't. Ask the HOA director if we could set up neighbor systems to check in on people if we have not seen or heard from them in a few days. Guess what he said?

Bob "RealMan" Timm The weather here is frightful in the NE, and everyone is sick with something. You get well and get sick again, and YES, it gets pretty depressing, but it is a normal depression, not a clinical depression. The best answer I can come up with is not to self-diagnose - see a  medical professional  Spring will be here soon
