Gotch Your Nose!

This, of course, reminds me of the old grandfatherly "I got your nose".

While looking for a graphic I came across this fun looking childrens book. I linked the picture to the bookseller if you want to know more.

My Real Estate tie to this cartoon is that while I  hardly remember my Grandpa I do remember (vaguely) Grandma and Grandpa's house. I was six years old when grandpa died and shortly after his death my grandma moved in with us. That being said: again I was six years old and that was 65 years ago! Still, the point being, I remember grandma and grandpa's house.

I am hoping for, and looking forward too, my grandchildren running around my house some day. Memory is aided by visual association. If I move to be closer to my daughter and her husband I want to have a house for them to visit. I want the grandchildren to remember camping in the living room, playing hide and seek throughout the house, and grandpa's favorite chair where they sat on my lap as I read to them.

A home is not only important to the family living in it, it's also important to those who visit it. Own a home and be remembered for living in it.

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Timmothy has never repeated a joke/comic strip in the 12 years he has been writing it. He has never copied another strip, such as Peanuts or Garfield. You can follow Timmothy on FB as Titus & Philemon and you can also check him out on Instagram as Instagram.com/titus and philemon/ .For Timmothy's website type timmtimmothy.com into your browser. I tried to put it in a link here but it refuses to work. Do NOT put anything in front of timmtimmothy.com or it will not work.

Good morning, Bob... the only grandparent I ever knew was my maternal Grandmother and my mother sponsored her move from Germany to the USA in the mid-1950's and she lived with us throughout my growing up years. So I never knew a home to visit Grandma and Grandpa.

I can relate Nina Hollander, Broker as I was only 6 when grandpa died and grandma moved in with us.

Good morning Bob. Moving to be closer to my son was our number one priority once we retired. Not a great financial move but we did it with an open mind and understanding. It has been nearly 10 years and still no regrets. You get to Milwaukee let me know and we will finally meet up!

That's a great plan Wayne Martin 😊. I know you well enough to know that despite a financial hit the benefit of family makes that hit irrelevant.

Hi Bob,
I remember both grandparent's homes very well. It fun to look back at the memories.

Oddly enough Carol Williams the only memory I have is of the entryway into their home and I can visualize the living room from that perspective. I do remember slightly more of my Mom's parents home but they lived in NJ and I was only there a couple of times as a child.
