Gaithersburg Martin Luther King Jr. Day Closures

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, most City of Gaithersburg facilities and offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026. Recycling will take place as scheduled. Bulk pickup is unavailable. Note that the regular Mayor and City Council Meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 20.

This is a City of Gaithersburg, Maryland announcement.

In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the United States Postal Service will suspend regular mail delivery and retail services on Monday, Jan. 20. All retail, delivery and mail collection services will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
