The Waiting Is the Hardest Part

By
Real Estate Agent with The Top Team @ Charles Rutenberg Realty 255 Executive Dr, Plainview NY 11803

One thing home sellers don’t always expect and are often surprised by is how much patience selling a Long Island home requires. Living in show-ready mode, keeping everything spotless, and adjusting your schedule for showings that sometimes get cancelled can be exhausting. The emotional side of selling is often overlooked, wondering if today will be the day and trying not to read too much into silence.

Waiting does not mean something is wrong. It just means the right buyer has not walked through the door yet. Keep your home welcoming, stay flexible with showings, and trust that the process will lead to the right buyer.

If you’re ready to sell your Long Island home or condo and want guidance every step of the way, give us a call. We're experienced and we’re here to help.

Good morning Sheila and Larry. The one thing many listing agents do not cover in their presentations is the necessity of maintaining patience in the process. Patience, not complacency! Enjoy your day.

Good morning, Sheila and Larry... just went through that with a listing that is about to close. The home was in a neighborhood where everything sold licketty split. As soon as we listed, it was like a curtain came down on the neighborhood and no one's house was selling for months.

Living in a home while trying to sell it certainly disrupts one's lifestyle and routine, haha.  When listing a home where they plan to stay in the home during the process, I make sure they are aware of all the things that could possibly happen, so that they aren't frustrated when they actually happen, haha.

HI Larry and Sheila- Patience is definitely required when you sell your home. You could be surprised by an offer from the first people to view your home or it could take some time. Just be patient and list to your agent.
