Today we remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This isn’t a canned post. This is something personal to me. For reasons I can’t fully explain, visiting this place has always touched my heart.
Tonight I’m headed to Washington, DC, and as I’ve done every year for the past eight years, I’ll stand on the very spot where he gave his “I Have a Dream” speech.
Most of my trips to Washington are for advocacy. Sometimes meeting with lawmakers. Sometimes learning. Always working on issues that matter to homeowners and property rights.

I slow down. I think about what it must have been like to witness that moment in person. To hear him speak. To feel the weight of that time. To live in an era when peaceful protest carried such power and purpose.
A very different time. A remarkable leader. A legacy that still matters.
Grateful for the reminder that leadership, courage, and restraint still have the power to shape a nation.
