The Charlotte Jewish Film Festival kicks off January 24th and runs through February 22nd. The 2026 Charlotte Jewish Film Festival is celebrating 22 years of unforgettable stories, big laughs, meaningful moments, and movies you won’t stop talking about on the drive home.

 

2026 Charlotte Jewish Film Festival January 24 to February 22What started more than two decades ago has grown into one of Charlotte’s favorite cultural traditions, bringing together films from around the world that explore Jewish life in all its forms: funny, complicated, heartfelt, surprising, and deeply human. If you think this is just “serious films,” think again—there’s comedy, drama, documentaries, and more than a few moments that will catch you off guard. 

You can expect films that make you:

  • Laugh when you didn’t expect it

I've seen some great films at this festival that I would never have had a chance to see otherwise. With the impending ice storm, I have a feeling it will be quiet this weekend.

Hi NIna- I've never attended a film festival!!!  There are many excellent films that are made each year that the majority of us never hear about. Thankfully people like Michael Jacobs help keep us informed of the different and interesting films.

Kathy Streib hi Kathy... the best film festival I ever attended was the Cannes Film Festival in France. We had good friends who lived in Monte Carlo and I used to fly down from Paris and visit them and we'd drive over the border to see a film or two.
