Looks Like the New Years Resolutionaries are Still Here LoL

Most of us make New Yearss resolutions. Most of us break them within two weeks!!  This is absolutely true with promises to improve health and fitness.  Every year at my fitness center, it is packed for two weeks after  New Years Eve as everyone tries to shred the holiday 15 lbs.  Typically, the throngs leave after the 15th!!

This year seems different.  We are in the final week of the month and the New Years Resolutionaries are still here (at the fitness center).

It seems there is positivity in the air.  I also noticed that as of today (the 24th), there are still a number of Christmas decorations up....it really seems that a lot of people are full of hope for 2026.  January certainly sets the tone for the year.

During the first week of January, I plan personal and business life for the year.  Not a New Years Resolution but rather planning for the new year and I have a history of sticking to the plans.

So, I am waiting for a huge dump of snow - which I love....Wishing everyone a happy Sunday

I didn't make any resolutions to begin the year with, but I know that some changes are going to happen in my life in 2026, but not quite sure what they will be yet, haha.

Good morning Paddy. A good use of your time today with the snow falling to plan your year. And, especially that you are "planning' and not in the form of "resolutions". May your day be productive.

I have been going to the GYM for 40 years. It is just something I do on a consistent basis. I laugh every Jan 2nd to about Jan 15th. The place is packed. By the third week of January it is back to normal...lol

HI Paddy- I don't make resolutions either. Today (25th) was the first day in ages that Larry and I could not get out to go on our morning walk because we were concerned about the icy roads. Overpasses and bridges are always a concern here when it's icy. And, in Houston, it's almost impossible to drive anywhere without going over a bridge...even a small one.
