Digging Out From the Arctic Blast in Baltimore
I think most of the United States is digging out from the Arctic blast that started blowing through on Saturday.
A reminder to Baltimore County residents that the county states we must have our sidewalks cleared within 24 hours of a snowfall or risk a citation. Who do I contact to cite the county for not removing the snow or treating the streets in my neighborhood?
And, if you are in Baltimore City, the mayor, Brandon Scott, has spoken, and residents no longer have to honor the chair. In past years, residents of Baltimore City and surrounding areas would clear the snow from the street in front of their home and place a chair there to reserve their parking spot. According to a recent article in the Baltimore Banner, the mayor says no more.
But please check on your neighbors, especially the elderly, to make sure they are warm and safe and have what they need, and perhaps help them with their snow removal. I am thankful for my neighbors, all of whom have banded together to aid in the snow removal to make it easier for everyone.
