The Power of Reconnecting: Thoughtful Responses from Past Clients

By
Industry Observer DRE# ER40011786

I have been contacting past clients and letting them know I am now retired, and have gotten so many SWEET responses.

Some have been quite short and just wish me a happy retirement, but some of my favorite clients have written such beautiful emails, that make me tear up.   Funny, when you think of a client, I think of some of the fun or quirky things that happened while we were either showing homes, or their showings if they were a seller.

A few have asked if I could still do a few more transactions, but I am done, I have a flight scheduled to move to Portugal and have to sell my home and almost all my belongings.

Good morning again, Joan... always so heartwarming when our clients express their appreciation for our relationships. I've "been there" with clients who when I tell them I plan to retire sooner rather than later beg me to stay active until they are ready to sell... and when I ask them what their time line is they say 5-10 years. I do have to tell them I have no plans to be working in my 80's.

Good morning! Did you get a firm move date yet? I know you were worried it was going to be sooner than you originally planned.

Kat Palmiotti before I went to CA for my in-person application, my Portuguese attorney said I had to have a plane ticket.   Leaving 5/12.   BUT, the lady behind the desk in San Fran said it could be 6-8 weeks.   I don't think I will have the option to move up the plane ticket.

Hi Joan,
We have all worked hard in our business, and deserve to retire... if we want to. I seriously doubt Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 will ever retire because she is so happy doing what she is doing.
